Job Description

This is a Contract position, based at the NEOM Green Hydrogen Project Site location, working a 8 x 2 weeks, rotational assignment.The project is being executed by the AIR PRODUCTS NEOM Green Hydrogen Project ? Hydrogen Innovation and Development Centre (HIDC) execution team and is expected to last approximately 24 months.The incumbent is responsible for working in a specific area of the Site to ensure the EH&S requirements implemented by the Contractor Organisation(s) meet the intent of the Project and Air Products EH&S systems.The incumbent will work closely with the Site EH&S Manager to ensure that the EH&S Plan is fully implemented.The incumbent is expected to have detailed knowledge of EH&S throughout all phases of Construction and Commissioning.This position is accountable for the following:

  • Review and comment on Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for all work activities on the project to ensure accuracy and validity of the same.
  • Support the FULL implementation of the HIDC EH&S Plan
  • Support the implementation of the Project Emergency Response Plan and approve Rescue Plans within accountable area
  • Ensure EH&S Risks have been assessed and risk mitigation measures are in place
  • Assist project team in identifying project safety concerns
  • Coordinate with Contractor(s) to ensure HAZID and safety reviews for work activities in accountable area are completed in a timely manner
  • Establish a Program of inspections and audits in accountable area
  • Lead and assist in incident investigations and complete incident reports in accountable area
  • Ensure safety equipment is regularly inspected, fully operational and colour coded
  • Support the implementation of a robust Control of Work program
  • Monitor adherence to the LOTO work process, specifically that the LOTO is adequate and installed correctly
  • Ensure all permits are adequately completed and fully implemented at Site.
  • Ensuring Contractors safety programs and safe work practices are reviewed, and monitored on an ongoing basis
  • Ensuring EH&S information/expertise is provided to the site team when solicited to ensure compliance to Air Products standards and local laws
  • Demonstrating strong leadership at all times throughout the project phases
  • Coordinate safety training as required for the Contractor organisations
  • Actively participating in and leading safety promotion events, campaigns, competitions, established programs
  • Providing leadership to ensure prompt prioritization and coordination of all unforeseen issues at the site, escalating to the Air Products Site EH&S Manager / Area Construction Manager as required
  • Ensure a robust incentive / disciplinary policy is implemented to promote strong safety performance
  • Give input to ensure the accurate completion of all EH&S reports
  • Ensure BSP is fully implemented in their respective work area.
