Job Description

Civil Engineer - NEOMROLE PURPOSE Primary duties of the Civil Engineer involve is to ensure civil plans and design documents are in accordance to best practices, and applicable codes and standards, and to monitor civil site activities to verify continuous compliance with approved plans, specifications and applicable codes and ordinances. As NEOM is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our growing team working on a variety of interesting engineering activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to advance their career to the next level with a world leading organization.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Review engineering design documents and evaluate the design documents in order to ensure compliance with NEOMs Engineering Codes and Standards. Lead the review and update of NEOMs Engineering Codes and Standards for alignment with IBC, ACI, ASCE, AISC, PCI and PTI codes and standards and any other related best practices regulations to ensure safety and wellbeing for future smart cities. Review violations and applications for deviation from NEOMs Engineering Codes and Standards and produce technical reports and recommendations. Contribute to the following activities regarding your area and multi-disciplinary engineering areas (as applicable): Review, update and maintenance of NEOMs Engineering construction specifications. Preparation of Engineering design guidelines. Assist with the further development and implementation of procedures and guidelines for the creation of NEOMs Technical Standards and Codes approvals authority. Reviews of manufacturer, vendor and supplier drawings and samples and perform technical prequalification analyses. Make presentations to team-mates and NEOM Sectors and Departments. Lead and participate in technical workshops for NEOM employees. Support teammates to effectively improve team performance. Conduct inspection and monitoring the day-to-day project progress of the structural elements within the project scope. Coordinates all issues related to the structure of the building within projects scope with contractors for resolution. Ability to assess deficiencies and participate in the methods of repair. Monitors workflows and schedules with designated contractors. Attends coordination meetings for structural system with Project Management Team, Commissioning and Facilities Management. Assists in making technical decisions Evaluates work performed by contractors.
