Joining us means joining a caring, responsible, and innovative company where more than 70,000 people lead the way to greener and smarter mobility, worldwideWithin the Alstom Procurement Department, in D&IS Digital Information System domain, we are looking for a Purchasing apprentice.In the framework of your work-study mission, you will be involved in supporting the ADM Domain Manager and his team of commodity managers (telecommunication, metal parts, electrical integration, electronic cards, etc.) on D&IS Digital Information System equipment projects. This can be translated concretely into:

  • The understanding of the strategical stakes
  • Expand the purchasing strategy on the overall of projects and sites
  • Participate to the contractual and commercial negotiation with the strategical suppliers
During this mission, you will be required to perform the following actions:
  • Purchasing strategy:
    • Consolidation of figures necessary to monitor the operational performance of the domain (savings, BCC, NCE, OTIF, top offenders)
    • Participation in strategic meetings with all the regional stakeholders
    • Implementation of a database listing all project prices & tenders
    • Creation of a products reference library: mapping of prices and technologies by platform determining Alstoms competitiveness on tenders
  • Construction and management of the supplier panel:
    • Support to the CMs on the management and follow-up of transversal actions (BCC /LCC, verticalization, massification, etc.) with the support of the different regions
    • Participation in supplier performance meetings
    • Panel management, monitoring of suppliers financial health, positioning on innovation topics (cybersecurity for example)
  • Commercial negotiation and contractualization:
    • Monitoring of the global contractual database
    • Comparison of the main commercial clauses and conditions
PROFILE
  • Engineering school with a Masters degree in Purchasing or Business school.
  • A first internship in Industry would be appreciated.
  • Fluent in English
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Dynamic, rigorous with a good capacity of synthesis
