By pushing the boundaries of technology ? and each other to surpass these boundaries ? we create seeds of learning that become the catalyst for the world?s innovations, personal and global, large and small.Senior Database Administrator -MSSQL / NoSQLThe Database Administrator ensures maintaining the databases in good working order and performing tasks necessary to ensure continued growth and stability of the database.Roles and responsibilitiesDatabase Administration tasks.

  • Install and configure SQL Server
  • Setup and maintain SQL Server account security.
  • Performs SQL backups and restores.
  • Setup, schedule, and troubleshoot SQL Server jobs.
  • Applies updates and upgrades to production database environments.
  • Monitoring existing installations and fine tuning for better performance
  • Closely work with the Development teams to play the role of trusted advisor on all Database related work.
  • Read requirement documents and Design Databases based on them and preparing ER diagrams
  • Writing Database code including stored procedures and triggers
  • Setup and run SQL Server Profiler traces.
  • Optimize SQL queries and suggest alternative methods to enhance the efficiency.
  • Identify potential performance / security vulnerabilities and bad coding patterns and propose / implement solution to overcome those.
QualificationsEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor?s degree in Computer Science / IT3 to 5 Years? experience in Development / Database administrationKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESKey Technical Competencies
  • Proficient in OOP concepts
  • Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server administration , preference on the latest Version
  • Proficient in Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Knowledge in writing Stored Procedures
  • Knowledge in relational database design
  • Knowledge in SSIS
  • Knowledge in scripting languages
  • Knowledge of database driven Internet applications
  • Coding skills in multiple languages desired in at least one language is essential
