Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:The role is responsible for formulating and maintaining IT strategy of the bank in a proactive manner. Role is also responsible for Software Quality Assurance, IT Governance, Vendor management and Financial Management. The incumbent will work closely with Head of IT and other IT Department heads to keep IT Strategy implementation on the track in line with business strategy to enhance banks business and customer experience. Also takes responsibility for overall IT compliance, governance and reporting in a timely manner to ensure the deadlines are met. Role is also manages Identity and Access Control related operations.Description

  • Develops IT strategy and strategic plans that meet the needs of the organization.
  • Timely preparation of IT strategy and strategic plans
  • Incorporates into the plans business priorities, strategies, goals, emerging technologies, industry trends and economic viability.
  • Collects Enterprise Requirements related to IT governance
  • Designs, validate, implement and operate an IT Governance Framework
  • Evaluate IT Governance Performance. Measure how well IT governance operates and could be based on the number of decisions made, investments approved, projects/investments declined and attendance by senior leadership
  • Regular review of the IT and relevant investments
  • Review of the alignment between IT and overall strategy
  • Review IT-related business resiliency plan and implement audit findings
  • Trends and technologies review (analysing the experience of other companies, involving external experts, attending industry events)
  • Assist and guide Software Quality Manager in implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System
  • Play a major role in CAB meetings and manage the CAB activity
  • Manage automated and manual identity provisioning and de-provisioning within IT environments, as well as various packaged applications.
  • Responsible for configuration of Identity Management connections across all banking applications.
  • Track the Compliance with IAD and other audit recommendation and provide timely report to Head of IT
  • Handle any compliance related responsibilities assigned from time to time by Head of IT
  • Manage all existing IT vendors in terms of performance to contract and the provision of services/products, addressing any non-performance or non-compliance, as outlined in their contract, SLAs and/or performance metrics.
  • Manage vendor relationships to identify and minimize risks and maximize return on investment
  • Work with Management in preparing planning and budgeting forecasts for all vendor provided products and services, considering inputs from new developments, infrastructure upgrade roadmap and architectural requirements
  • Annual IT Budget preparation
  • Analysing Financial targets.
  • Meeting with department heads for financial discussions.
  • Reviewing and tracking all IT Payments
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:Minimum Qualifications: Degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Certifications like PMP, CGEIT, CISA, ITILMinimum Experience: At least Fifteen (15) years experience in Banking IT environment handling projects, development, support, Quality Assurance, IT Strategy and Governance.Functional Knowledge & SkillsGood knowledge of Banking processes and Business ApplicationsIT systems and Infrastructure knowledgeExperience in Project managementExperience in formulation of IT strategyExperience and knowledge of IT Governance areaExperience in IT financial management
