Job Description

The Office of Chief Operating Officer- Facilities/System services is seeking a BMS Operator who will carry out periodic checks for all BMS, HVAC, CMS, ACS and LCS systems on campus, reporting any alerts or malfunction in monitored equipment and systems. The position will provide support on controllers and programming logic and support the electrical/systems team with issues related to lighting control and ELV systems. The BMS Operator will supervise external contractors on all BMS, ACS and LCS-related works.Job Responsibilities

  • Site visits and checks to resolve issues related to BMS, CMS, ACS, and LCS and complaints related to cooling and/or other HVAC and ELV systems
  • Routine checks of the BMS systems through the Central Control Room to check the status and condition of different HVAC systems
  • Field checks and site visits on the DDC panels and the equipment fitted on the units to check for loose connections and general condition
  • Checking the lighting control, Access Control and ELV system operation and response during site inspections to check system operation and conduct system troubleshooting and programming
  • Attend meetings, provide updates and follow-ups and report to management.
  • Monitor the work of subcontractors through site meetings and visits to assure proper implementation
Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required

  • More than five years of relevant experience in BMS/ELV Systems

Preferred Qualifications
  • Five or more years of hands-on experience in BMS/ELV Systems maintenance
  • BMS, CMS, LCS, ACS, and ELV system maintenance, testing commissioning and programming
  • Understanding HVAC System operation
  • Energy saving and management system experience
  • Experience with reputed BMS system manufacturer in UAE
  • Knowledge of IT system software related to BMS system
  • knowledge of troubleshooting electrical control panels, VFD and DDC panels
