An exciting opportunity is available forSr Specialist, Fiber within the function of Technology and Invocation, location will inJubailand will reports directly to Section Head, Flexible Packaging & Fiber Job purpose: Job holders at this stage establish distinguishing scientific or technical expertise with demonstrable acquisition of knowledge, principles, practices, and procedures in polyolefin fiber field. They evolve into fully independent scientists or researchers in polyolefin fiber and aim to work independently or with minimal supervision while acquiring experience in developing work-plans, managing tasks, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of their units. Role responsibilities:

1. Performs tasks/projects of a larger scope and assumes some leadership for specific tasks within the project scope in the field of polyolefin fiber (preferably polypropylene fiber) i.e., material characterization for fiber grades, prepare material data sheet, fiber quality and performance according to international standards, market need and customer requirements. Manage new fiber developments project to fit specific application requirements and meet the deliverables plan and milestones of the project. Engages in initiatives of moderate difficulty.
2. Under the supervision of senior members or independently, evaluates selects and applies procedures and techniques in the field of fiber spinning, new processing technologies. Identifies problems and related technical issues leading to long-term, generic solutions in fiber materials. Technical support to the customer to resolve the material issue, establishing grade in the market via technical knowhow, visit and operation of continuous fiber spinning pilot plant.
3. Defines work-plans and approaches and assumes responsibility for timeliness, cost effectiveness, and quality of outputs. Continually aims to enhance capabilities for project planning, including assessment of cost, scope, and schedule against plan.
4. Contributes in providing ideas to improve the efficiency of the unit in the area of fiber field.
5. Continually improves technical expertise and knowledge through experience and application in plastic pipes.
6. Plays an active role in the preparation of reports, papers, presentations, new proposals. Presents papers at technical meetings. Starts becoming part of identifiable external peer network.
7. Assists in planning, evaluating, selecting, and adapting standard scientific techniques and procedures.
8. Adheres to high process standards by applying the principles of the scientific method documenting and sharing best practices and engaging with centers of excellence from academia, industry, and specialized organizations.
9. Adheres to high process standards by implementing quality assurance processes, implementing, and complying with safety and environmental standards, and respecting regulatory guidelines.

Qualification and Requirements:

1. Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Material/Polymer Science, or related field with minimum 5 years of experience or
2. Masters degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Material/Polymer Science, or related field with minimum 3 years of experience. or
3. PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Material/Polymer Science, or related field from internationally recognized university.
4. Experience in the field of polyolefin fiber (preferably polypropylene), troubleshooting and improvement and application development.
5. Original research and academic publications in relevant fields.
