SummaryResponsible for administrative and clinical supervision of the Perfusion team. Essential Responsibilities and Duties2.Provides administrative and clinical direction to the perfusion team.3.Assists in developing policies and procedures of the Perfusion Services.4.Responsible for the quality assurance measures and staff development.5.Collaborates in assessing budgetary requirements of the perfusion services and recommends procurement of necessary appropriate equipment, instrument, and supplies. 6.Plans staffing patterns based on patient needs and determines number and qualifications of staff and other resources to assure quality patient care.7.Responsible for the periodic evaluation of individual staff performance. 8.Maintains an open avenue of communication among staff members, other health care professionals and Hospital departments.9.Participates in daily clinical procedures including cardiopulmonary bypass, intra-aortic balloon pumping, blood salvaging procedures and other clinical perfusion-related services offered in the hospital at the time. 10.Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures.11.Participates in self and others education, training and development, as applicable. 12.Performs other related duties as assigned.EducationExperience RequiredFour (4) years of related experience as a Clinical Perfusionist with Masters, or six (6) years with Bachelors Degree is required.Other Requirements(Certificates). Experienced in Paediatric and / or Adult Perfusion, experience with Mechanical Circulatory Support and other extra-corporeal assist devices is required.
