Job Purpose ? The main purpose of the Network Administrator role is to analyze, design, configure, test and evaluate infrastructure systems, including local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), internet, intranet, and other data communications systems, Microsoft technology, security, disaster recovery, backup and restore, in addition to being accountable for maintaining and continuously enhancing the infrastructure. 2. Principal Accountabilities Corporate: ? Support and conduct the affairs of the Client relations team with the highest standards of respect, integrity, accountability, agility, quality, safety and corporate governance ? Ensure compliance with Code of Ethics policy and adopting company values across function? employees and provide leadership to reinforce a strong people culture and ethical business practices ? Enhance adoption and utilization of systems and ERP Functional:? Deploy best IT and network practices in the organization? Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient operation of the Information Systems department, promote, and maintain the information security ? Suggest the appropriate security controls to protect assets and activities? Conduct periodic server and network device audits to ensure compliance with established standards, policies ? Monitor, operate and maintain security ? Ensure the accuracy of firewall filters rules and security policies ? Setup load balancing and high-availability, where applicable ? Manage network assets (i.e. network hardware and software, monitoring tools) and coordinate inventory tracking with procurement department ? Ensure high availability and efficiency network up-time and troubleshoots if needed ? Maintain an effective system of communication between head office and projects ? Troubleshoot and resolve Internet connectivity with ISPs to resolve internet issues ? Coordinate with suppliers & subcontractors on technical infrastructure installation or implementation ? Follow up on any outsourced issues and manage any new installation or troubleshooting (STC, Wi-Fi, ISPs ...) ? Document all network division Layouts, Diagrams, Utilization Graphs, etc. ? Establish a good working relationship with Users and other professionals ? Test and evaluate new technology ? Coordinate with suppliers on infrastructure installation and maintenance ? Work closely with the Company?s end users to understand their support issues and incidents 3. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience ? Proven experience in a network administrator role ? Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching ? Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure? Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN?s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired ? Ability to set up and configure server hardware? Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies? Great at organizing, prioritizing and multitasking? Juniper, Cisco, CWNA or BCNE training? BSc degree in Computer Science or related field? Proficient in MS Office Suites
