Req Number: 17191BRPosition Description:A Facility Management Engineer who has a proven solid experience and credentials in Operation and Maintenance of laboratories and research facilities.The candidate will be responsible for the management of facility services and processes that support the core business of the department.He will be reviewing designs and materials procurement, and looking after, coordinating, supervising the implementation and commissioning of several facility project scope items.Also, the candidate will be engaged into managing the operation and maintenance of the facility infrastructure and systems. In addition, he will be Initiating actions or conducting special studies for improving facilities or operations; provides specialized technical services in recognized engineering and facility operation fields; handles complex engineering problems, designs and/or projects; coordinates or directs work of other engineers and technicians.Minimum Requirements:B.S. in Facility or Discipline Engineering with proven solid relevant work experience and certifications in Operation and Maintenance (O&M).Excellent spoken and written communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent customer and client management skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skill with supporting technical knowledge.Ability to lead and manage a varied and complex facilities workload with deep technical knowledge.Ability to lead and manage teams and projects.Excellent command of English language, both oral and written.Has advanced and knowledge of computer skills such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word.Duties & Responsibilities:Planning and Initiation of capital budget items and preparation of expenditure request justification with financial analysis.Developing specific requirements of projects or major facility activities from the date the project/activity is conceived until completed. This includes preparation of proposal and expenditure request, consultation with proponent and management, design, materials ordering, scheduling, liaison with the construction forces, and following the job until a satisfactory completion.Multi-disciplinary design reviews of facility infrastructure and systems.Leading project and operations inspections and compliancesCommissioning and startup of facility components and systems.Lead systems failure troubleshooting and/or coordinating with responsible operations and maintenance entities.Operations and maintenances scheduling and implementation.Development of Standard Operating Procedures and maintenance processes and practices.Development of facility services contracts and managing implementationsManaging budgets and ensuring cost-effectivenessManaging and overseeing building projects, renovations or refurbishmentsManaging and leading changes to ensure minimum disruption to core activitiesEnsure facility meet health and safety requirementsCoordinating or leading various teams to cover various areas of responsibilityAttending and responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise and deal with the consequences.About us:
