Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:1. *Bid Preparation*:- Coordinate the development of catering proposals for events, ensuring compliance with client requirements.- Gather and compile necessary documentation, including menus, pricing, and service options.2. *Client Communication*:- Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the bidding process.- Address client inquiries and provide detailed information regarding catering services and options.3. *Team Coordination*:- Collaborate with chefs, event planners, and sales teams to gather information needed for bids.- Facilitate brainstorming sessions to create innovative and appealing catering proposals.4. *Market Research*:- Conduct research on competitors? catering services and pricing structures.- Analyze market trends to inform bidding strategies and enhance competitiveness.5. *Quality Control*:- Review all bid submissions for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with client specifications.- Ensure proposals reflect the company?s brand, values, and culinary standards.6. *Timeline Management*:- Develop and maintain schedules for bid submissions, ensuring deadlines are met.- Monitor the progress of proposals and make adjustments as necessary.7. *Post-Bid Analysis*:- Assist in the evaluation of awarded bids, gathering feedback from clients and internal teams.- Maintain comprehensive records of bids, outcomes, and client feedback for future reference.8. *Budget Management*:- Help prepare cost estimates and proposals that align with clients? budgets while ensuring profitability.Qualifications:1. *Education*:- Bachelor?s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.2. *Experience*:- Previous experience in catering, event planning, or proposal management is highly desirable.3. *Skills*:- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective client and team interactions.- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.- Proficiency in project management software and standard office applications.4. *Knowledge*:- Familiarity with catering services, menu development, and pricing strategies.- Understanding of food safety regulations and dietary restrictions.5. *Personal Attributes*:- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.- Friendly and professional demeanor when dealing with clients and vendors.
