Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Buyer/Planner plans all steps of the manufacturing milestones to deliver our products on time to customer request date or our acknowledgement based on KOB. The candidate willalso masterall internal flows and process,must respect all trade compliance rules, isresponsible for theirown safety and must respect EHS regulations. The Buyer/Planner is also responsible for the direct sourcing of materials from the approved supply base. They areaccountable to ensure all material are procured and delivered to the factory in line with the operational strategy in effect and ensure positive impact on Cost Savings, ITO and Service Levels. The candidaterepresents the interest of the Manufacturing facility at the Supplier. This is a temporary role for 1 year and the candidate would be working in Emerson Jubail office. The candidate is responsible forscheduling the orders in line with the delivery prospectus & lead time provided to customer. Theywill ensurethat the flow to the shop floor is maximized. The Buyer/Planner is responsible for the complete co-ordination of the execution from the time the order is scheduled until it moves to completion and ensures support of inventory management goals and activities. The Buyer/Planner will administer proper terms and conditions and ensure compliance to Fisher procedures and trade compliance for new supplier set-up. The candidate is responsible for ensuringPOs are requested for the factory needs or to the best LT that can be given by supplier if not possible. They willcommunicateperiodic performance reports to key suppliers, along with facilitation of regular conference calls andpurchasing in support of inventory management goals and activities. Your role responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:Quality:

  • Applies procedures which are described in QA Manual.
  • Makes sure, final product is fully in line with write up, prior to completion.
Planning:
  • Provides LT quotations upon Sales request
  • Validate the customer request dates feasibility
  • Perform the scheduling activity in line with Delivery Prospectus LT or provided quotations
  • Releases according to production WIP and capacity in connection with assembly supervisor
  • Launch assembly work orders proposed by the ERP from overdue customer request date to newest
  • Provide to assembly supervisor strong backlog of kit complete
  • Contribute to best purchasing strategy according to global strategy and project needs
  • Has an insight on stores, assembly, and paint capacities evolution
  • Identify bottlenecks and propose improvements on production process flows
  • Plan and organizes customer inspections at all stages of order
  • Contributes to Assy RFT and Final RFT performance
  • Ensure to handle the MPFS MRO valves and parts orders and provide full co-ordination activities with different teams as needed.
Procurement:
  • Ensure to send the RFQ to approved suppliers/global guidelines when the requirement shown in the system to activate the part in oracle.
  • Execution of purchase orders both to external suppliers and Inter-co (internal), including update as needed (re-schedules) and date management in Oracle per given guidelines
  • Ensures Purchase Orders are placed as soon as need appears to provide full visibility to supplier
  • Ensures POs are requested for the factory needs or to the best LT that can be given by supplier if not possible.
  • Communication of periodic performance reports to key suppliers, along with facilitation of regular conference calls.
  • Clear communication of business needs and requests to suppliers, to influence and motivate suppliers to support set objectives. Completion of weekly milestone reviews to supplier and update the system with late deliveries and reschedules.
  • Review and update of parameters of assigned parts with lead-times, safety stocks, supplier with-in given time line. Expedite on a regular basis to ensure on-time delivery per business needs.
  • Conduct purchasing in support of inventory management goals and activities
  • Administer proper terms and conditions and ensure compliance to Fisher procedures and trade compliance for new supplier set-up
  • Ensure a competitive and technically competent supply base, to meet quality, delivery, service and cost objectives
  • Any other duty assigned by the management
  • Coordinate on the MPFS orders with the internal teams and also with the outside suppliers
  • Support sub-contracting process for the MPFS items
What do I need to be considered for this role
  • Bachelors degree in any of the following: Computer Science, Information System Management, Mechanical Engineer, or Industrial Engineer
  • 1-3years of relevant experience
  • APICS CPIM Certified or Good Knowledge in the Supply Chain and Materials Management
  • Work Experience in Oracle Business suite would be added advantage
