Job Description

stc Kuwait is actively recruiting for the role of Business Continuity Engineer. In this role, you will focus on safeguarding the organizations critical operations by leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive Business Continuity Management (BCM) program. In this role, you will proactively identify and assess the potential threats, designs, and tests recovery plans, and ensure the organization can effectively respond to disruptions and resume essential functions with minimal downtime.Roles and ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive Business Continuity Management (BCM) program. This includes creating a framework for risk assessment, business impact analysis, strategy development, plan creation, testing, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments to understand potential disruptions and their impact on business functions.
  • Develop and maintain business continuity plans (BCPs) for key business functions. These plans should outline procedures for recovery in the event of disruptions, minimizing downtime and ensuring critical operations resume efficiently.
  • Coordinate and conduct business continuity exercises and simulations. Test BCPs regularly to identify weaknesses and ensure plans are effective in a real-world scenario.
  • Maintain and ensure the readiness of alternate work sites and resources.
  • Communicate effectively with senior management and all departments regarding BCM initiatives. Provide updates on program progress, risks identified, and plan effectiveness.
  • Maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards related to business continuity. Stay updated on relevant standards and ensure the BCM program aligns with those requirements.
QualificationsTo be eligible for this role, you must meet the below minimum criteria:
  • Bachelors degree.
  • 3-5 years experience in a similar role.
  • Fluent in English.
