Perform routine and non-routine tests and analyses using appropriate technical equipment and instruments.
Calculate test results, log and report results using a computer.
Prepare and supervise cultures.
Perform quality control and calibrate equipment if necessary.
Maintaining, calibrating, cleaning and testing sterility of the equipment.
Design and execute laboratory testing according to standard procedures.
Conduct experiments under defined conditions to verify/reject various types of hypothesis using refined scientific methods.
Provide technical support and write reports.
Keeping up with relevant scientific and technical developments.
Carrying out risk assessments.
Ordering and maintaining stocks and resources.
Maintain equipment in proper working order and maintain a clean work area.
Practice safe work habits, including complying with all safety, health and environmental rules and regulations.
