Jobs at this level areresponsible for designing complex circuits for technical systems, supervisingactivities related to the designof STC s systems, equipmentand ensuring robust and optimized project designs, in compliancewith established guidelines and relevant standards. Also, they areresponsible for collating and translating the business requirements intoIT specifications for servers, operating systems, database systems,storage and backup systems and ensuring they are addressed on time.Key Responsibilities? Infrastructure Design:? Contribute in design and expansionfor engineering purpose including but not limited to mobile access,fixed & transport, network control & architecture, integratedsolutions, IP security, and indoor broadband solutions, COWs and others.? Participate in developingInfrastructure design approach, methodology and tactical strategy.? Supervise and change siteconfigurations, frequencies as and when required.? Prepare and supervise theimplementation of RFP, BoQ, SOW, MOP and its technical specificationensuring all required standards are met.? Contribute in definingcore architecture and network roadmaps based on Enterprise Architectureguidelines.? Interpret the collatedreports and evaluates the performance of current systems and equipmentand provides appropriate recommendations.? Contribute in developingtechnology road maps and providing technical solutions for STC.? Develop and communicatedesign guidelines to use in design engineering, post review and approvalfrom the management.? Ensure development of anoptimized design for assigned projects, compliant with safety codesthrough comprehensive review of project documents.? Assess Infrastructuresecurity threats and escalates it to the senior management.? Perform Infrastructuredimensioning and capacity planning for new services.? Applications Design:? Contribute in designingand optimizing architecture components for applications, technologysolutions and ensures compliance with Enterprise Architect framework.? PrioritizeConsumer/Enterprise/Functional CRs based on the agreed criteria withbusiness stakeholders.? Participate in evaluatinggaps between as - is and to-be and defines transition strategies foraddressing those gaps.? Contribute in formulatingsolutions initiatives and ensures communication and implementation ofthe same.? Manage changes tosolutions to align it accurately with business requirements.? Contribute in constructingtechnical blueprint design for solutions that needs to be developedkeeping technical capabilities and financial constraints in check.? Contribute in conductingtest scenarios, cases and scripts to align with business and functionalrequirements.? Supervise infrastructurerequests and supports the design and deployment of servers,virtualization, operating systems, servers consolidation technology,database systems, storage, backup, archiving systems, virtual desktopinfrastructure, digital signage solution, queuing systems, customerfeedback systems and automated infrastructure services.? Collate and translateSectors business requirements into automation and provisioningtechnical specifications and coordinates with vendors for alloutsourcing needs.? Contribute during periodicaudits and provides reconciliation reports between purchased andimplemented assets.? Contribute in theimplementation and integration of cloud infrastructure in line with theoverall enterprise architecture design.? Supervise life cyclemanagement of the private cloud services from service development tillservice retirement.? Design and maintainplatforms for testing that reflect current live environment of criticalsystems and provision of support for regular UAT as part of the formalchange / release management process.? Asset Management:? Supervise policies,procedures, processes and standards for assets management.? Supervise asset utilizationwhilst correlating with key business drivers to identify, evaluate andimprove efficiency and mitigate operational risks.? Maintain healthyrelationships with Fixed Asset department under Finance.? Contribute in implementingasset and license management system across STC whilst coordinating withkey stakeholders.? Support on investmentdecisions for additional licenses ensuring alignment with businessrequirement, technology roadmap, enterprise architecture and strategicplan.? Identify potentialoverlaps, duplications and other efficiency improvement opportunitiesthrough simplification, integration, re-use and rationalization of STCHardware/software licenses asset base.? Generic Role:? Negotiate with vendors toensure appropriate technology is available in compliance withspecification and STC's requirements.? Maintain externalawareness of developments in technology in order to develop systemimprovement plans for use in the design, development and modifications.? Coordinate across a numberof work units within the specified area of work, to ensure efficientwork flows and accurate outputs.? Manage projects andinitiatives, as may be required by the reporting senior.? Implement "bestpractice" solutions and processes, in compliance with relevant qualitystandards.? Supervise work teams, ifneeded, to ensure work continuity.? Liaise with othersupervisors to build effective working relationships and identifiessynergies.? Develop and superviserespective team members, if needed, for undertaking higher responsibilities.Qualifications? Bachelor s degree inTelecommunications/Electronics & Communication/ComputerEngineering/Computer Science? Relevant certification inInformation Technology Service or Infrastructure Management (ITSM/ITIL)is preferred
