Join WSP, and you?ll be at the heart of a team of international experts all dedicated to growing and sharing their expertise, and working on projects that transform society for all of us.We are looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to plan, manage, enable and deliver technically complex and logistically challenging projects, working with a large technical delivery team.A typical week would include:? Plan, design and deliver geotechnical site investigations including recommendations for best intrusive techniques to be employed and specification of in-situ and laboratory testing.? Supervise site investigation contractors, and have previous experience of undertaking site investigations and logging of soils and rocks.? Review and prepare factual and interpretative geotechnical and geo-environmental reports including recommendations relating to the choice of foundations including the use of ground improvement techniques.? Review and prepare specifications for Enabling, Shoring, Excavation, Dewatering, Ground improvement and Piling works.? Undertake resident engineer supervision services for foundation, shoring and earthworks contracts, utilising my previous experience of undertaking supervision of earthworks, foundation construction, slope stability and ground improvement.? Undertake and review geotechnical analysis including slope stability calculations, embedded retaining and shoring wall design; pile design, ground movement assessments, evaluation of soil springs for use within structural design models and soil structure interaction.? Manage and maintain key client relationships.? Engage and build new client relationships.? Manage and mentor team members.? Manage financial aspects of projects covering the full life cycle from inception to cash collection.
