Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Procurement & Estimator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate cost estimates for construction and building projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction materials, market trends, and procurement processes.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain accurate cost estimates for various construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers and gather competitive pricing information.
  • Analyze technical specifications and drawings to determine material quantities and labor requirements.
  • Identify and assess potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed cost models and reports.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure project success.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve the best possible pricing and terms.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and market fluctuations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Procurement Estimator in the construction and building industry.
  • Proven experience in developing accurate and timely cost estimates.
  • Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., HCSS HeavyBid, Timberline, Procore).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
