Extensive experience within the telecommunications sector is key for this role.Job descriptionDevelop technology strategies covering potentially all relevant areas of a telco network (mobile, fixed, transport, etc.), including emerging technologies, whilst coordinating with other consultants and with subject matter experts (SMEs)Ensure vertical alignment of technology strategies with corporate and commercial strategies, including their relevant business unitsEnsure cohesiveness of technology strategy across domainsEnsure coherence and simplicity of strategies for ease of implementation. Supervise and translate strategic objectives into implementation initiatives, roadmaps, KPIs, owners, budgets and project portfolio chartersIntegrate financial plans with the developed strategy and ensure financial viabilityManage with ad hoc requests, specifically management requests for input on strategic topicsManage the competitive intelligence gathering processes ensuring that technology strategies incorporate the latest industry trends and knowledgeSocialize and present the technology strategy and its action plan to different technical and non-technical stakeholders within client organizations (Telcos) REQUIREMENTS: REQUIREMENTSBachelors Degree in Telecommunication Engineering or Information Technology (preferred)Masters degree in Telecommunication Engineering or Information Technology (preferred)10+ years of combined relevant experienceExtensive experience in telecommunications sector technologies such as fixed, mobile, and cloud, from a strategic and architectural point of viewFamiliarity with the latest telecommunications trends and technologies (e.g. 5G NFV/SDN, Fiber, legacy migration, IoT, etc.) and ability to follow the latest industry trends and technical developmentsAbility to guide, coach, challenge, and advise SMEs working as part of daily activitiesStrategic knowledge combined with the ability to dive deep if requiredBusiness understanding capabilities and ability to create an end to end link between strategies from different domainsAbility to challenge, steer, and drive the team in the right directionAble to structure problems logically, test hypotheses and draw convincing conclusionsStrong presentation and presentation development skill setA clear and concise communicator work both verbally and with written materialStrong leadership skills , someone who can drive and motivate the teamExcellent English skills
