The IT Instructor is responsible to the Deputy Dean for the effective delivery of the Colleges IT programand curricula in line with the College?s strategic priorities and objectives.They will design and deliver instructional materials for IT, ensuring alignment with the College programobjectives, teaching students the fundamental principles of IT and other relevant subjects.They will employ student-centred teaching methodologies, ensuring an interactive and engaging learningexperience, and adapt teaching techniques to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities within theclassroom.Essential Job Functions:Plan and organise lessons, workshops, and practical exercises that cover a range of IT topics andskills.Foster a hands-on and interactive learning environment, providing real-world examples and casestudies.Incorporate modern teaching methods and technology tools to enhance student engagement andunderstanding.Evaluate students progress through assessments, assignments, projects, and examinations.Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, supporting their academic growth and skilldevelopment.Make effective use of e learning technology within and outside of the classroom to support learningOffer one-on-one assistance and tutoring to students who need additional support in grasping ITconcepts.Stay updated with advancements in IT fields, software, hardware, and emerging technologies.Encourage students to develop problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities relevant to ITchallenges.Establish and maintain a respectful and inclusive classroom environment that values diverseperspectives.Promote ethical behaviour, cybersecurity awareness, and responsible use of technology.Contribute to curriculum development by providing input on course content and materials.Participate in development activities and continuously enhance teaching methods.Collaborate with colleagues and administrative staff to ensure the smooth functioning of the ITdepartment.Uphold the values and standards of the college and serve as a positive role model for students.
