Marine TechnicianJob Location : RiyadhResponsibilities:? Traveling to the dock or seaport where the vessel is located.? Reading through repair and installation orders to determine the material, time, and equipment required.? Inspecting and servicing engine equipment, troubleshooting, and making minor repairs.? Preventing maintenance and corrective maintenance.? Carrying out services and minor repairs on outboard, inboard, and ship engines.? Repair electrical and mechanical equipment on marine vessels.? Testing engines, propellers, steering, and navigational equipment.? Check the level of fluid from the steering motor.? Testing and ensuring a stable performance of marine engines.? Examining and troubleshooting any issues in the electrical systems.? Performing electrical AC system maintenance and plumbing repairs.? Repairing or replacing damaged/worn-out engine components.? Maintaining accurate and detailed service records and documents.? Analyzing motor performance and identifying malfunctioning signs.? Conducting operational tests.? Changing oil and filters and other components during maintenance checks.? Adjusting carburetor and water tanks for smooth functioning.? Using hand tools for repairing generators and adjusting electrical systems.? Determining the effectiveness of cooling systems using thermometers.? Fixing hydraulic systems.? Troubleshooting engine and electrical problems.? Removing and replacing rotted or rusted sections of the vessel.? Repairing faulty hydraulic and steering systems.? Completing service records and repair documents.? Cleaning, repairing, and maintaining all parts of the boat or vessel.? Constructing replacement parts using drawings, saws, and various hand and power tools.Requirements:? Diploma or Relevant certificate may be required.? Degree in mechanical engineering preferable? Proven work experience as a marine technician? Excellent technical and mechanical skills? Extensive knowledge of motorboat engines.? Knowledge of marine engine and electrical auxiliary systems? Able to diagnose problems with electrical systems? Knowledge of marine hydraulic systems and related parts? Knowledge of boat steering systems.? Able to work on land and at sea.? Can expertly diagnose and fix problems with marine elect. and mech. systems of any size.? Able to purchase the required tools and supplies.? Practical experience with tools and equipment used in marine maintenance.? Ability to read and understand technical manuals.? A willingness to learn and accept constructive feedback.? Able to carry heavy loads and to stand, sit, and stoop for prolonged periods.? Understanding of safety protocols and procedures? Critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities.? Detailed-oriented and highly motivated individual.? Ability to work collaboratively and independently.? Good communication skills
