Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Director of Procurement in Construction to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As the Director of Procurement, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of procurement within the construction industry. You will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials and equipment. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement procurement strategies, monitor supplier performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in procurement within the construction industry, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to effectively manage a team.Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the needs of the construction projects.
  2. Source and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
  3. Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and terms.
  4. Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams to forecast material and equipment needs.
  6. Manage and oversee the procurement team, providing guidance and support as needed.
  7. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities within the procurement process.
  8. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as legal and regulatory requirements.
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Minimum of 18 years of experience in procurement within the construction industry.
  2. Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  3. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  4. Experience managing a team and providing guidance and support.
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Knowledge of procurement best practices and industry trends.
  7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
