Our team of over 400 engineers and developers are empowered to develop cutting-edge technology every day.Careem was established in July 2012, became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Uber Technologies, Inc. in January 2020, and today operates in over 100 cities across 12 countries.What youll do:Design, build, and run the finance function in KSA for Careem Pay and will be responsible for managing the finance function for and working closely with the Senior Director Finance - Careem Pay and GM Careem Pay KSA and Base Camp functions.Accounting:

• Maintain accurate transaction recording process and GL maintenance.
• Review the reconciliations of payments, verification, bank statements, and transfers.
• Supervise/Process payroll and resolve vendor disputes.
• Managing cash flow and petty cash reports for all cities.

Reporting:

• Process month and year end statements and ensure consistent financial reporting.
• Maintain monthly budgets and performance against targets.

Compliance and Legal:

• Ensure compliance with Group internal controls and financial policies, and local reporting and tax regulations.
• Coordinate and complete annual audits, zakat and tax filling in a timely manner.
• Handling Legal notices and queries and support business team with legal understanding and relevant application of laws to the company.
• Fraud identification and prevention.

Banking:

• Manage banking relationships, cash management solutions.

Team:

• Build and develop the local finance team.
• Supervise and oversee the daily operations of the local finance team.
• Monitor the workload and prioritize tasks for the team.

What youll need:The ideal candidate will have a passionate commitment to improving the lives of people, an insane focus on excellence and customer service, and a strong alignment with our core values: being bold, focused, agile and collaborative. Additional qualifications include:

• CA, CMA, MBA or equivalent
• 7-9 years of PQE
• Operational experience in hyper growth business, preferably fintech
• Ability to manage large data sources
• Experience in Oracle will be a plus
• Experience building function from scratch and managing regional teams
• Excellent communication skills in English and an additional language would be highly preferred
