Job Description

We are looking for a Cost Accountant to join our accounting department. The successful candidate shall be responsible for performing cost analysis , pricing and preparing budget reports.You should possess excellent analytical skills along with the ability to combine different data and calculate profit margins. Our ideal candidate should also be able to create detailed reports that present cost-effective solutions for the company. The successful candidate should be able to build updated databases and manage cost information to maximize profitability for our company.Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collect cost information and maintain an expenses database
  • Construct systems to accumulate and monitor data.
  • Determine fixed costs (e.g., salaries, rent and insurance)
  • Plan and record variable costs (e.g., purchases of raw material and operations costs)
  • Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies
  • Prepare budgeting reports (for the company and for each department)
  • Analyze and report profit margins
  • Prepare (monthly, quarterly, and annual) cost forecasts.
  • Assisting in month-end and year-end closing.
  • Variance analysis between projected and actuals.
  • Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions.
  • Collecting and analyzing data about a company?s operational costs
  • Setting standard costs of manufactured goods
  • Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
  • Analyze and recommend costs and cost savings.
  • Review receipts and compare with actual charges to detect inaccuracies.
  • Project profit margins for upcoming quarters and analyze trends of highs and lows.
  • Establish annual labor and overhead rates.
