SUMMARY:

Capable to read blueprints/drawings and interpret welding requirements.
Capable to read and interpret welding procedures.
Capable to produce Fillet, PJP, CJP & 6G quality welds on various metals like carbon steel, stainless steel and alloy steels.
Capable to weld ?TIG, GTAW, SMAW, SAW & FCAW ?process on piping and structural steels.

Directly reporting to welding supervisor.Duties & Responsibilities:

Read Welding procedures and understand welding process.
Withdraw suitable welding consumables from stores as per WPS.
Welding of pipes and structural items as per welding process specified in the WPS.
Perform back gouging where applicable.
Provide proper connections to welding machines, Holders, gauges, and tools.
Safe handling of welding gases and tools/grinders.
Grinding and cleaning/Dress up of the work pieces & welds.
Capable to use various welding gauges and measuring tapes/instruments.
Ensure clean workplace and equipment.�
Maintain safety regulations and obey company safety rules.
Performs other duties as assigned.
