Job Description

  • Read drawings and understand fabrication process and sequence.
  • Cutting & weld bevel edge preparation of steel plates, beams, and piping using cutting torches and other equipment.
  • Fit-up /assembly of mast and substructure & accessories, pressure vessels and piping.
  • Withdraw suitable welding consumables from stores for tack welding. Should be able to weld using SMAW and MIG welding.
  • Safe handling of cutting/welding gases and tools/grinders.
  • Grinding and cleaning/Dress up of the work pieces & welds
  • Capable to use various measuring tools like Tapes, fabrication tools and weld gauges etc.
  • Shall have experience with handling overhead cranes, forklifts etc.
  • Clean workplace and safe handling of materials.
  • Maintain safety regulations and obey company safety rules.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
