Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies for mechanical components and equipmentIdentify, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors, ensuring quality and reliabilityNegotiate contracts, prices, and delivery terms with suppliersCoordinate with engineering and project teams to understand technical specifications and procurement needsManage procurement processes from requisition to delivery, including purchase orders, tracking, and logisticsMonitor supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationshipsEnsure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, safety standards, and legal requirementsConduct market research to stay informed of industry trends and new suppliersPrepare procurement reports, cost analysis, and forecasts for managementLead and mentor the procurement team to optimize workflows and efficiencyRequirements: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or related fieldMinimum of 8 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3-5 years focused on mechanical equipment and marine/offshore projectsProven track record in procurement management within the oil & gas, marine, or offshore industryStrong negotiation, leadership, and communication skillsKnowledge of Qatar market and international procurement standardsFamiliarity with ERP and procurement management softwareAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively
