Objective:As a Telehandler Operator (5t), you will be responsible for operating a telehandler with a lifting capacity of up to 5 tons to lift, move, and position materials at construction sites, warehouses, and other industrial settings. Your primary objective will be to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the telehandler to support various material handling tasks.Essential Duties:?Operate the telehandler to lift, move, and position materials, such as pallets, pipes, and equipment, at construction sites, warehouses, and other work areas.?Use hand and foot controls to maneuver the telehandler and extend/retract the boom to reach materials at different heights and distances.?Follow loading and unloading procedures to ensure the safe and efficient handling of materials.?Secure loads using straps, chains, or other securing devices to prevent shifting during transportation.?Coordinate with site supervisors, crane operators, and other team members to plan and execute material handling tasks according to project requirements.?Conduct pre-operation inspections of the telehandler to check for any mechanical issues or safety concerns.?Perform routine maintenance on the telehandler, such as checking fluid levels, greasing moving parts, and inspecting hydraulic systems.?Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to prevent accidents and injuries.?Report any equipment malfunctions, accidents, or incidents to the appropriate personnel and follow company procedures for documenting and reporting incidents.Requirements?Proven experience as a telehandler operator or similar role.?Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.?Certification or training in telehandler operation preferred.?Strong knowledge of operating telehandlers and familiarity with material handling procedures.?Ability to interpret and follow loading and unloading plans.?Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.?Physical strength and stamina to perform tasks such as operating controls and sitting for extended periods.?Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.?Attention to detail and a commitment to safety at all times.
