You?re ready to gain the skills and experience needed to grow within your role and advance your career ? and we have the perfect software engineering opportunity for you.Job summaryThis position is a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Workforce Technology (WFT) team, which is aligned to the Employee Experience & Corporate Technology space. You will be part of an agile team that works to enhance, design and deliver products and features in a secure, stable and scalable way. As a member of this software engineering team, you will be managing the creation and maintenance of various scripts and automated solutions that then produce actionable data insights for our HR business partners, the employees and the bank.Job responsibilities

  • Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
  • Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance
  • Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
  • Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation
  • Gathers, analyzes, and draws conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making in service of secure, stable application development
  • Create, package, deploy, document and maintain Alteryx workflows on a regular basis
  • Use your scripting experience within the Alteryx workflows to gather, transform, and/or update data, to fulfill various business needs
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • A bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred with 1.5+ years applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a platform environment
  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
  • Passionate about building an innovative culture
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with HR Data models and the financial controls and budgets managed within HR
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Proficiency in multiple modern scripting languages (Python, Java, Oracle, SQL, etc)
  • Current use and strong knowledge of the Alteryx Platform.Experience integrating and configuring REST APIs using JAVA or Python
  • Worked with extracting and integrating Oracle HCM data into reporting and analytics
  • Active experience in any cloud development (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc)
