About the job Skip Bin Truck DriverEssential Duties:

Safely operate skip bin trucks to collect and deliver skip bins to designated locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness.
Load and unload skip bins onto trucks using appropriate equipment and techniques.
Secure skip bins properly on the truck to prevent shifting during transport.
Follow established routes and schedules to meet customer demands.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries.
Perform basic maintenance tasks on vehicles, such as checking fluid levels and tire pressure.
Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to management promptly.
Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner at all times.

Requirements

Valid commercial drivers license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably in the waste management or transportation industry.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness (Dover test).
Ability to operate skip bin trucks safely and efficiently.
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
Attention to detail and a focus on safety.
Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Flexibility to work variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
