For an upcoming Asian Development Bank (ABD) funded bus rapid transit (BRT) project in Peshawar, Pakistan, CDM Smith is seeking a Senior NMT Design Specialist.The primary objective of this project is to conduct surveys, perform preliminary and detailed engineering design, bidding document preparation and bid evaluation support for the construction of Phase 2A of the City of Peshawars BRT System.The Senior NMT Design Specialist is expected to play a role in pedestrian facility design along the corridors and direct service roads, pedestrian crossings and access at stations, intersections and mid-block, bicycle parking design and bicycle infrastructure design.While this position will be part-time across the 15-month project duration, ideally the candidate is based in Pakistan, with easy ability to travel and work from Peshawar for periods of several weeks at a time during the course of the assignment.Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in transport, urban planning, engineering, environmental management or a related field Minimum of 7 years of experience in designing pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure Experience on urban transport projects in Pakistan (minimum of three years/three projects preferred) International experience on urban transport projects in countries outside of Pakistan (minimum of two other countries and three projects preferred)
