Auto req ID: 287366BR Main Purpose Provide support in the strategy design of PAK BU Public policy and Government Affairs. The role will focus on a) driving the development and implementation of public policy and government engagement through strategic partnerships with the government other industry groups and b) ensure the protection of business interests and its license to operate. Accountabilities Monitor and manage alignment of business activities with government regulations and policy Develop position papers and policy statements to support strategic business objectives Develop and maintain strategic and operational engagement with key government stakeholders and partners Join the voice of the industry on related priorities and evaluate and propose industry alliances Develop institutional understanding of key organizations i.e. understanding of processes, roles, decision making and key developments Proactively manage the PepsiCo reputation through a well-defined External Affairs Strategy covering management of business risks and regulatory affairs Ensure regular engagement with the PepsiCo Bottling Partners to understand their business challenges. Recommend effective action plans to address issues affecting the overall PepsiCo System. Keep internal stakeholders updated on policy guidelines and potential impact on business outcomes and deliverables Be the gatekeeper for all government communication and take a lead role in development of messaging, talking points, press releases related to the government Qualifications/Requirements Key Skills/Experience Required Proficiency of all principles, execution, and advanced technical specialized expertise in all Public Policy/Government Affairs disciplines Demonstrated experience of strong relationship building skills with government officials and industry partners 10 years of progressive experience with proven track record in broad-based Corporate Affairs function with at least 6 years of experience with government engagement at both the federal and provincial level Proven track record for developing effective stakeholder relations strategies aligned with organizational goals and business outcomes Demonstrated experience of writing position papers on industry issues or strategic business objectives Demonstrated experience working with senior leaders in FMCG multi-brand environment Ability to quickly understand and address complex issues; to work collaboratively with others across business units, functional departments, geographies and disciplines: to work on multiple tasks: to work with a very high degree of independence Proven ability to collaborate with business partners outside the organization (customers, franchise partners etc.) Master?s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Policy/Law, or a related field of study, preferred Relocation Eligible: Eligible for Standard Relocation Job Type: Regular
