  • Lead ground operations activities.
  • Deploy structured approach to manage operational procedures including sorting, loading/ unloading activities, shipment processing and documentation, manifesting, bagging, sending shipment status information, secure handling and storing of shipments, etc.
  • Provide input to develop new solutions for transportation and delivery, and develop processes, systems, technologies and methods for courier operations.
  • Implement established reporting standards to achieve visibility on pick-up/delivery performance to substantiate decisions.
  • Manage and control scheduling traffic volumes for transportation and delivery, and selection of appropriate transportation.
  • Anticipate change in trends to assess efficiency of current means of transportation, analyse and define requirements for operations and improvements in pick-up/delivery processes.
  • Monitor and identify issues and opportunities, and implement better practices for courier operations focusing on increasing effectiveness, efficiency and cost control.
  • Implement ground operations projects to address regional and network imperatives and programs.
  • Manage the operating budget and proposals for investments in infrastructure, technology, equipment, systems, or other resources at ground operations level.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, security, regulatory, and company policies.
  • Provide expertise, advice and coaching to the team for execution of day-to-day tasks and activities and meet work schedules and targets.
YOUR PROFILE
  • Must possess a bachelor?s degree with at least 8-10 years? of experience in a similar role, preferably within the logistics industry.
  • Proven ability to lead teams through broad practical expertise in operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to network at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
