For an upcoming Asian Development Bank (ABD) funded bus rapid transit (BRT) project in Peshawar, Pakistan, CDM Smith is seeking a Senior BRT Design Engineer.The primary objective of this project is to conduct surveys, perform preliminary and detailed engineering design, bidding document preparation and bid evaluation support for the construction of Phase 2A of the City of Peshawars BRT System.The Senior BRT Design Engineer is expected to play a fundamental role in providing design input into engineering surveys, preparing the preliminary and detailed design of BRT systems, portions of systems, and direct service roads, and preparing design inputs for station design.This position is a key role on the project team. While this position will be part-time across the 15-month project duration, ideally the candidate is based in Pakistan, with easy ability to travel and work from Peshawar for periods of several weeks at a time during the course of the project assignment.Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in transport, urban planning, engineering or a related field Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in designing BRT systems Minimum of 10 years in developing and implementing quality public transport systems, including specific experience with BRT Experience on BRT and/or other urban transport projects in Pakistan (minimum of five years/five projects) International experience on urban transport projects in multiple countries (3 countries and five projects minimum) outside of Pakistan
