Senior Assistant (Two positions based in Karachi andHyderabad)DepartmentCommunity Health SciencesIntroductionThe Department of Community Health Sciences (CHS) is the leading unit of its type in Pakistan, recognized regionally and internationally for the relevance, quality and extent of its work in support of public health and the development of primary health care systems. It comprises of five major operational units: Epidemiology & Biostatistics, Health Policy & Management, Population & Reproductive Health, Environmental Health, and Non-communicable Diseases & Mental Health.A research study ?SARS-CoV-2 in Pregnancy? is being led and conducted by the Department of Community Health Sciences in collaboration with department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at AKU main campus Karachi & Hyderabad; to better understand how SARS-CoV-2 infection during pregnancy impacts outcomes in women and their neonates during pregnancy and post-partum period. The clinical outcomes of enrolled women and their newborns will be followed up to 6 weeks after childbirth.This contractual based position at AKU main campus, Karachi & Hyderabad. Candidates are required to mention the place of position applied for.ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for:

  • performing data entry of all study files received from different centers across Pakistan
  • maintaining receiving logs of WHO Study data files
  • resolving andfixing WHO study edits/error in EXE
  • ensuringsafe and secure storage of WHO study data files andphysical storage
  • scanning the WHO data collection CRFs on regular basis
  • takingproper care of questionnaires/datasheets and ensuringsafe physical andelectronic storage of the study
  • compilingteh data collectedinto respective folders received over episodes
  • assisting in physical data storage and electronic archiving copies received from different centers.
Requirements You should have:
  • preferably a Graduate degree with diploma in Computers Science/IT from an HEC recognised or reputable foreign university/institution
  • experience of working in healthcare setting preferably in research; in maternal& child Health as DEO/Scanning Assistant.
  • excellent teamwork and observation skills
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • good knowledge of using spreadsheets and basic communication tools.
