Senior Assistant, Human Development Programme (HDP)Entity: Medical CollegeIntroduction:The Aga Khan University was founded in 1983 as Pakistan?s first private university, Aga Khan University is a not-for-profit institution and an agency of Aga Khan Development Network. Starting in 2000, the University expanded to Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, United Kingdom and Afghanistan. AKU began life as a health-sciences university.Human development is a major theme in the work of Aga KhanUniversity. The Human Development Programme was established as the first concrete initiative in this field in 2003 and supports human development throughmultidisciplinary and research-based approaches. Its initial focus is early childhood, a period of life that lays the foundation for all future learning, development and wellbeing.?ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible to:

  • provide administrative and logistic support in organizing and coordinating all the general as well as academic administration and project related activities of HDP
  • handle department?s Petty Cash and timely submission online
  • process online ROPs, travel and field advances, expenses claim, accommodation and food requisitions, purchase, material and dry stock requisitions and its timely follow ups.

  • maintain proper record keeping of all the fixed assets, equipments, general office supplies/stationery of the department and ensure its availability, proper handling, issuance and timely receiving by the users.

  • coordinate with IT and Maintenance departments to launch IT and maintenance related complaints and timely follow-ups to resolve those complaints
  • mmaintain HDP website and social media account for ongoing activities of HDP
  • deal with any other task assigned by the supervisor.
You should have:
  • Graduate from a recognized University
  • minimum three years of related working experience in any administrative position
  • fluency in spoken and written English with excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
  • ability to work under pressure
  • able to coordinate with internal and external customers for all HDP related activities
