As an international institution, AKU operates on the core principles of quality, relevance, impact, and access; and AKU is a model of academic excellence and an agent of social change.Job Role / Responsibilities: Reporting to Coordinator, Warehouse, you will be responsible to move, locate/ relocate, load/ unload, stack and stage the product and materials using forklift, truck or other power equipment as per organizational safety and quality standards. You will also be accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle.Specific responsibilities include:

  • ensuring inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage
  • reporting operational risks if any on a regular basis
  • preparing product for delivery
  • ensuring accuracy in loading and shipping of the product
  • performing duties in an efficient manner meeting customer service standards
  • inspecting and performing minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment as and when required
  • operating all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods
  • maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly work area
  • assisting in maintaining the security of the warehouse
  • ensuring service quality standards as per organization?s goals
  • maintaining personal and environmental safety standards as per guidelines of Safety & Security Department
Qualification:You should have/be:
  • an intermediate with a valid HTV Driving License. Relevant trainings will be a plus
  • atleast three years of experience in similar position
  • excellent time management and coordination skills
  • the ability to work in teams
  • an understanding of Safety signage?s/ symbols
  • an understanding of Hazard signage?s/ symbols
  • knowledge about appropriate PPEs (Personal Protective Equipment).
