Job Description

Title: Supply Chain Manager ExportsLocation: HO, KarachiMain Job PurposeSupply Chain Manager to oversee and manage our export organizations operations, ways of working, and supply chain processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for restructuring the export organization and its operations, including forecasting for direct and intercompany sales, timely execution of orders, shipping documentation, freight negotiations, and coordination with all relevant internal and external departments to ensure seamless export operations.Key Responsibilities

  • Creating and implementing an export supply chain strategy that maximizes efficiency and profitability.
  • Forecasting for direct and intercompany sales in coordination with sales team and external teams.
  • Ensuring timely execution of orders and compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Negotiating with shipping lines and forwarding agents for rates, scheduling, and dispatch.
  • Coordinating with all relevant internal departments, including logistics, distribution, and finance.
  • Coordinating with external departments, such as banks for LCs and payments, customs authorities, and freight forwarders.
  • Providing value-added services, such as re-labelling, toll manufacturing, and selection of right kind of suppliers.
  • Overseeing all different modes of exports, direct, intercompany, and local sales.
  • Ensuring inventory levels are maintained to meet customer demand and minimize carrying costs.
  • Negotiate Trade off with retail/ local business, when needed by getting BG sign offs
  • Represent Exports during S&OP cycle
  • Identifying and mitigating supply chain risks and developing contingency plans.
  • Developing and implementing performance metrics to monitor and improve supply chain performance.
  • Managing and developing a high-performing team of supply chain professionals.
Key Skills and Qualification
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in an export or international business setting.
  • Strong knowledge of export regulations, customs requirements, and international trade practices.
  • Proven track record of managing complex supply chain operations, including forecasting, procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate with external partners, including shipping lines, freight forwarders, and customs authorities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and tactically.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
