It caters to students not only from Pakistan, but across the world.Responsibilities:You will be responsible to:

• Conduct literature reviews on assigned topics
• Contribute in writing of thought pieces, manuscripts, research summaries, reports
• Monitor research activities and submit quarterly field reports which will contribute to AKU reports
• Assess the accuracy, specificity, and completeness of applications submitted to the Department?s Research Review Committee (DRC) and provide timely guidance to the applicants.
• Participate in developing budgets based on proposed study protocols with Finance, Research Office teams, and faculty members
• Collaborating with Research Office and SONAM faculty for writing extramural grants under the supervision of Assistant Dean, R&GS
• Supporting Assistant Dean, R&GS in establishing contacts with funding agencies to help in obtaining research funding
• Coordinate research activities including field work
• Supervise staff regarding different project activities e.g. Data transcription, translation, etc.
• Ensure that different activities of project are be conducted in timely manner.
• Ensure smooth coordination between the stud coordinator and field staff
• Coordinate meetings and dialogue with potential collaborators
• Coordinate network of researchers and practitioners
• Participating in research meetings and presenting monthly monitoring reports
• Writing and disseminating meeting minutes
• Assisting SONAM faculty in writing manuscripts and in disseminating research findings in high impact scientific journals and forums under the guidance of Assistant Dean, R&GS
• Maintaining a record for proper utilization of research funds of SONAM and reporting accordingly
• Implementing planned strategies to ensure the quality of research output by monitoring and evaluating SONAM research, and by closely connecting with Principal Investigators (PIs) and Research Office

• Assist on study design, questionnaire development, and statistical analysis and aid in preparation and reviewing research manuscripts and research presentations made by faculty for their projects.

• A Master?s degree from an HEC recognized or reputed foreign university/institution, in Epidemiology and Biostatistics or Health Policy & Management
• At least five (5) years of relevant experience
• Well versed with current research methodologies
• Good academic writing skills and experience in writing research projects would be preferred
• Ability to effectively work in a team setting.
• Efficient in computer skills (MS Office, internet, PowerPoint etc.)
• Scientific manuscript writing and having published 1-2 papers in peer-reviewed journals (preferable)
• Ability to work effectively in scholarly teams
• Strong communication skills in English (both oral and written)
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to anticipate problems and devise effective solutions
• Strong decision-making capability
• Ability to publish and write grants.
