The University currently has teaching sites in Pakistan, East Africa, the United Kingdom and Afghanistan, and is a major component of Aga Khan Development Network.The Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Research Associate, Department of Medicine ? six months contractual position.˙ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for:

  • collecting data through quantitative and qualitative techniques
  • working with the team on development and implementation of research tools and analysis of data
  • conducting literature reviews and providing support in writing research papers with the concerned manager
  • collating and analysing complex data, maintaining data quality control, conducting data management and data analysis as per study objectives
  • coordinating communication between the research team and other stakeholders for data collection
  • assisting in preparing manuscripts and abstracts for publications and presentations as required by investigators, administrators, and funding agencies
  • developing, generating and verifying activity reports to be distributed within the team
  • presenting weekly and monthly progress reports.
RequirementsYou should have:
  • bachelors degree in a basic or health science from HEC recognised institute or international university
  • atleast two years of relavent work experience at a reputable organisation
  • good understanding of both the qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • experience of software such as REDCap, MS Office, SPSS
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety ofstakeholders.
