Job Description

Research Associate, Department of MedicineEntityAga Khan UniversityLocationKarachi, PakistanIntroductionThe Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Research Associate, Department of Medicine. This is a one year contractual position.ResponsibilitiesThe appointee will be responsible to:

  • collect data through qualitative (in-depth interviews and focus groups) and qualititative(questionnaries/surveys) techniques
  • work with the team on development and implementation of research tools and analysis of data
  • conduct literature reviews and provide support in writing research papers with the concerned manager
  • collate and analyse complex data, maintain data quality control, and conduct data management as per study objectives
  • work with team on programme implementation
  • coordinate communication between research team and other stakeholders for data collection
  • provide assistance in preparing manuscripts and abstracts for publications and presentations as required by investigators, administrators and funding agencies
  • develop, generate and verify activity reports to be distributed within team
  • present weekly and monthly progress reports.
RequirementsYou should have:
  • a bachelors degree in a basic or health science from a well reputed and HEC recognised local or international university
  • at least two year of related work experience at a reputable and relevant organisation
  • knowledge of both quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • experience with software such as REDCap, MS Office and SPSS
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
