CRM nurtures young researchers (scientists and clinical scientists) in an environment that fosters learning and innovation.AKU-CRM is inviting applications from outstanding and ambitious candidates with experience in one or more of these areas including molecular biology, regenerative medicine, stem cell biology, biological science, or bioengineering.Applications that are currently involved in the broad area of developmental or stem cell biology, listed below, will also be considered:

• Stem cells in development and disease
• Stem cells in fate determination and differentiation
• Reprogramming and differentiation
• Stem cells immunobiology

Job Role / Responsibilities:Reporting to the Faculty AKU-CRM, you will perform a varied set of responsibilities which include

• assisting with planning, organizing, and conducting laboratory experiments on research projects within well-defined guidelines
• keeping abreast of current publications relative to methods, techniques, and developments within the area of research
• conducting wet lab research at AKU-CRM labs
• conducting daily, weekly and monthly inventory of consumables/reagents required for the team
• attending weekly meetings, journal clubs and research in progress and presenting in these meetings as directed by the assigned faculty
• any other assignment as directed by the faculty.

Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:You should have:

• a Masters degree in the field of Biological Science/ Bio-Engineering or related field of research;
• candidates with a MBBS, BDS or DVM with lab based research experience willalso be considered;
• a minimal three years? experience in a research laboratory, post qualification;
• candidates with experience in the following areas are encouraged to apply;
• Cell Biology Research (e.g. Tissue Culture, Organoids generation, Patient Derived Xenografts (PDX) model. Transfection)
• Cytogenetics (e.g. Karyotyping, Fluorescent In Situ Hybridization (FISH), comparative genomic hybridization (CGH), G-banding)
• Imaging Techniques such as Fluorescent microscopy, Confocal microscopy
• Molecular Biology Research (e.g. Cloning, real-time PCR, CRISPR-Cas9, NGS librarypreparation)
• Bio-printing (e.g. Development of scaffolds, 3D organ modeling)
• Stem Cell Biology Research
• strong organizational skills with ability to handle multiple tasks assigned by the faculty;
• competent in computer usage with command over Microsoft office, statistical and imaging software;
• sound communication skills: fluent in English speaking and writing;
• strong interpersonal skills.
