Its teaching hospital, the Aga Khan University Hospital has been accredited by the prestigious Joint Commission International for achieving the highest international healthcare standards.Job Role / Responsibilities:The selected candidate will be supporting the department?s Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL) activities. This includes, but is not limited to, conducting literature reviews, quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, and scientific content development.You will be responsible to:

  • Support development of research proposals, research reports, assessment reports and other documents
  • Prepare research methodologies using appropriate epidemiological methods.
  • Identify and track core monitoring and evaluation indicators to measure achievement against performance indicators
  • Routinely analyse research and program data to draw meaningful insights, using advanced statistical methods
  • Regularly document program learnings based on data analysis and program insights, working with internal team members
  • Assist in maintenance and administration of M&E databases; analysis and aggregation of findings
  • Track compliance of projects against project grant agreements, workplans, M&E frameworks, approved research protocols, etc.
  • Assist in the collection, analysis and reporting of quantitative and qualitative research data
  • Support the development of research protocols
  • Ensure ethical approvals from relevant regulatory agencies are timely acquired
  • Conduct trainings and field monitoring visits to ensure compliance with program implementation plan and M&E frameworks
  • Assist in the development of monitoring dashboards
  • Support the development of dissemination content, including abstracts, manuscripts and articles for peer-reviewed journals
  • Any other supporting task related to research, M&E and learnings.
Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:
  • A University degree, preferably Master?s level, in health/social sciences, with a focus on statistics
  • Two years of work experience in mixed methods research, monitoring and evaluating large datasets
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel, SPSS, and NVivo
  • Experience with PowerBI, Stata, R and qualitative research software is desirable.
