As an international institution, AKU operates on the core principles of quality, relevance, impact and access; and AKU is a model of academic excellence and an agent of social change.Job Role / Responsibilities:As a Programmer Analyst, you will be responsible for working on many different aspects related to healthcare software and other interrelated applications.Specifically, you will be responsible for.

  • working in one or more modules of Hospital Information Systems & Electronic Health Records solution
  • identifying requirements by establishing personal rapport with clients and with other persons in a position to understand service requirements
  • confirmingprogram operations by conducting tests, modifying program sequence and/or codes
  • building dictionaries, clinical documents and application configurations in EHR implementation.
  • acquiring functional knowledge of multiple EHR applications and training the superusers accordingly.
  • supporting end users and resolvingday to day issues under guidance from the supervisor
  • maintaining applications systems documentation and project documentation.
Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:You should have/be:
  • a Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering; MBA in MIS
  • appropriate knowledge and understanding of software engineering, object-oriented analysis & design as well as hands-on skills pertaining to programming languages including VB6, VB.Net, ASP.Net, object-oriented programming, N-tier application development, web-based applications and mobile application development.
  • good communication skills
  • the ability to work in teams.
