Run key product development rollouts for Payments within the transaction banking space in line with Citi?s overall business strategy. Own the product design, prototyping and commercializing of new product concepts.
Grow the Payments P&L, manage expenses, and drive product development activities across operations, technology, client delivery and external vendors.
Participate in client pitches and proposal process to provide product expertise. Work with Coverage and Sales to communicate product value proposition.
Interact with the regional/global teams on product development and projects.
Oversee compliance of new regulations along with management of risk & governance elements related to Payments.
Build market and industry knowledge and be creative about introducing new feature, functionality, user experience enhancements to the product suite.
Work in tandem with other cash product verticals including Liquidity Management and Channels to steer the cash business of Citi Pakistan and provide senior oversight.
Work closely with Technology, Operations and Coverage teams to drive timely, cost effective and high-quality delivery of market solutions.
Partner with Finance to evaluate investments in product development, expenditure, benefits realization and overall deal/Product P&L performance.
Work with Product control functions to ensure that all relevant documentation (e.g. Product Approval Program) and processes are strictly adhered to and part of the management fabric of the product business.
Engage with MEA Payments team, drive MEA wide/ global payments initiatives.
Invest time to keep track of Competition, Market Trends, New Technologies etc.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firms reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
8-10 years of experience in corporate cash management, specifically payments, with good knowledge of corporate banking practices. Exposure to and understanding of business analysis, data and system analysis.
Ability to self-direct work efforts, meet deadlines, take initiatives and produce consistent high-quality work. Willingness to be a direct contributor and ability to multi-task.
