The International Water Management Institute (IWMI), a CGIAR Research Center is looking for a competent, self-motivated, and dynamic candidate to join as National Researcher ? Water Resources Management.The National Researcher ? Water Resources Management will be responsible for carrying out research addressing issues associated with water resource development and allocation in irrigated Indus Basin of Pakistan. The incumbent will be responsible for developing, design and implementing water management strategies as well as surface & groundwater management studies to achieve sustainable water management through improved practices in Pakistan. The appointee will be responsible for conducting research to improve integrated water resources planning and management in irrigated areas of Pakistan. The goal of the research is to provide useful recommendations to enhance the performance of key water institutions. They will contribute to the research activities, including literature reviews, field data collection, analytical work, policy analysis, and coordination with stakeholders and project partners in the water and climate sectors. She/he will also organize project-related events, workshops, training, and field work involving various stakeholders.
