You will be a hands-on technical engineer responsible to build, scale, and manage state of the art, geographically distributed Engineering Infrastructure to enable the engineering teams globally.What you will do:

• Proactively manage servers in the Data Center and develop all Linux infrastructure technology.
• Install OS and configure the servers as per workload requirements for Kubernetes, jenkins agent nodes, etc.
• Track hardware inventory, spec and ensure all info inventory is up-to-date on Service Now.
• Monitor nodes and services hosted on the servers, troubleshoot and debug hardware issues, work with the IT team to identify root cause.
• Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hot fixes on servers
• Partner with peers to understand hardware requirements to host services and aid in capacity planning.

What you?ll bring:

• Well versed in Engineering of systems administration-related solutions - jumpstart, IPMI, network install, etc.
• Strong experience in Linux - RedHat, CentOs, Debian etc.
• Working experience on virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi, Linux KVM, etc.), deployment and VM management
• Expert in Shell, Perl, and/or Python scripting
• Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SNMP
• Familiarity in engineering infrastructure development with latest cloud-native technologies like Containers (Docker), Kubernetes, Public Clouds, etc.,
• Strong problem solving and communication skills
• Intermediate to Expert level hands-on Database skills in MySQL.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and processes, like Jenkins2.0, Ansible, Groovy scripting, etc. is a plus
• Exposure to monitoring tools like prometheus or similar is a plus.
• Exposure to logging frameworks like Kibana, Logstash, etc., is a plus.

Required skills/qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the IT industry, with at least recent 5 years in a similar role.
• Must have experience working with geographically distributed teams and infrastructure, preferably in a high release velocity/startup environment.
