The Department has a Nutritional Research Laboratory as well as an Infectious Disease Research Laboratory that cater to the needs of its research projects. It has well-acclaimed work to its credit both at the national and international level.ARC project project aims to serve as a platform to collect harmonized data across the 5 study sites to improve understanding of pregnancy risk factors, vulnerabilities, and morbidity and mortality, and to estimate the burden of these risk factors and outcomes in LMICs. These data will inform development of interventions to optimize pregnancy outcomes for mothers and their newborns. The study site for this project is Rehri Goth and Ibrahim Hyderi, Karachi.
