DepartmentPaediatrics and Child HealthEntityAga Khan UniversityLocationPakistanIntroductionThe Outreach and Research Programme of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health has nine community-based field sites across Pakistan (including five in Karachi) and focuses on research for the betterment of women and child health. The Department has a Nutritional Research Laboratory as well as an Infectious Disease Research Laboratory that caters to the needs of its research projects. It has well-acclaimed work to its credit both at the national and international level.ResponsibilitiesThe position entails overall coordination of the Research projects. This involves providing executive support to the Principal Investigators (PI) and Co-Investigators (Co-Pi) for the ongoing 25+ international projects with the team of 50+ members for all the operations and coordinating activities.

• Provide executive support to the Department Chair, act as a liaison and focal point of contact for direct and indirect reports and members of the Department
• Provide executive support to the Vice Chair, Research in achieving the goals and objectives of the research outcomes in the department
• Ensuring smooth process and operations between the PIs and diversified large number of research teams that includes, Project Managers, Research specialists, Research Coordinators & other staffs
• Manage all administrative aspects of the research team and serve as a Key focal person for them and various others entities within the institution to meet the project deadlines
• Coordinate with multiple project leads for updates on ongoing matters and facilitate in the submissions of proposals and other reports as per the deadlines
• Liaison for various recruitment & placement of research team into the projects along with ordering IT equipment and support with their orientation and assimilation. Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion
• Organizing and coordination of various workshops, webinars, training, virtual tours for funding agency, project meetings, events & field visits related to ongoing, upcoming and completed projects
• Arrange & lead the several international travels of PIs, COIs & team members that includes timely visas documentation, submission & travel itinerary and relevant accommodationsÿ
• Taking a lead role in the international funded project
• Working to prioritize different commitments of the Chair to maintain effective communication with the faculty members, department team, and with the university and hospital leadership
• Preparation and compilation of monthly report
• Play a vital role for the department operations with the quality initiatives activities and support for the departmental Events/Conferences/Meetings/ special assignments
• Prepare high level presentation & reports for PIs & COIs for the various diversified events

• a Master?s degree in Business Administration (additional qualification would be an added advantage) from a reputable national or international university.
• a minimum of ÿ05 to 07 years? of relevant experience
• Excellent organization skills (ability to organize things effectively)
• Proven track record of capacity building of subordinates and effective multi-tasking
• Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively with having focus on customer satisfaction
• Contributing team player and a proven, effective Leader
• Excellent communication and interpersonal Skills
• Resilience and ability to cope with work pressure & stringent deadlines
• Willing to travel and work in the communities / rural field sites and internationally
• Excellent computing and report writing skills
