Its teaching hospital, the Aga Khan University Hospital has been accredited by the prestigious Joint Commission International for achieving the highest international healthcare standards.Job Role / Responsibilities:You will be responsible for the management of mechanical, plumbing & air-conditioning equipment, plant, and engineering piping networks including providing assistance for energy conservation initiatives of the department, inventory management, technical appraisal of new equipment / plant, and monitoring of contracts. You will also be responsible for staff activities, their performance improvement initiatives and setting annual goals for them, and monitoring of their efficiency and effectiveness. As a departmental manager, you will assess budget requirements and monitor ongoing expenses and will take over new Buildings for operations and develop maintenance management systems & procedures in the assignedarea.Specifically, youwill be responsible to;

• manage the provision of effective functional services of Mechanical, Plumbing, and HVAC
• effective inventory management of spares, consumables, and capital assets; review of planned preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, and inspection activities to reduce cost of services, and ensure optimum utilization of resources
• technical appraisal of new equipment, plant, and engineering material and forward recommendation to senior management
• annual goal setting, budget projection, and management of ongoing expenses
• review existing work processes and improve by eliminating rework loops. Lead the department in effective and an efficient manner to realize the economical outcome
• management of staff conducts training programs and hiring against replacement and new positions
• participate in and lead quality improvement activities
• assist in reviewing current policies/processes and systems for further improvements
• ensure compliance with the applicable quality standards of certifying and accredited bodies
• develop and implement annual operational goals of the assigned area which are aligned to the overall departmental / divisional goals
• cordinatewith cross-functional teams during handing over of the renovation and new projects
• budget preparation and replacement of non-Medical equipment year-on-year basis of the whole department.

• B.E. Mechanical/ Industrial. Master?s degree will be an added advantage
• 8 to 10 years of relevant experience
• supervisory skills
• analytical abilities with problem-solving skills
• excellent communication, public speaking, and report writing skills
• familiarity with diverse functions of hospital operations
• excellent Interpersonal skills and ability to constructively handle sensitive and difficult issues
• preventive Maintenance and shutdown planning experience.
