Abbott Established Pharmaceuticals in Pakistan is currently looking for a Marketing Manager to join the business based in Karachi. This is a key role to meet the needs of the changing business demands, manage the evolution of expanded portfolios, manage complexity of the internal control frameworks, local operating procedures, alignment with the promotional and marketing guidelines. Marketing Manager designs and leads high-performance affiliate marketing and market development plans for assigned Therapeutic Areas and Brands. This role is accountable for effective deployment/ development of global/local patient & customer centric strategies line with current and future needs.Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead and drive top-line, volume, market share and bottom-line targets for the assigned areas
  • Provide leadership to team members to monitor, analyze and evaluate market trends and dynamics to ensure competitive positioning and make necessary recommendations (TA Architecture, Pricing, Repositioning, Indication additions, NPls, Line extensions)
  • Spearhead marketing and sales strategy for the assigned portfolio, plan for new launches, achieve brand KPls, identify new customer segments and enhance the brand image
  • Oversee development and implementation annual brand plan and forecasting for assigned brands and carry out changes to the plan, if necessary, to ensure that KPls are achieved
  • Partner with Sales & Trade Leadership to execute on brand strategies, while building strong relationships with internal and external customers
  • Generate insights using research and IQVIA data to identify potential markets and factors affecting product demand
  • Direct development / implementation of all new product plans - including pricing, positioning, & pre & post launch activities
  • Provide leadership for internal management monitoring and OEC/QA for various Audits
  • Oversee generation of all marketing and Promotional material in line with the Abbott brand guidelines
  • Manage direct report job results by coaching & counselling direct reports, planning, monitoring, and assessing job responsibilities
  • Develop direct reports by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities
Education, Experience & Knowledge:
  • Business Degree (Specialization in Marketing) or Pharm-D/MBBS from reputed University
  • At least 8-10 years overall experience in pharmaceutical company; At least 3-5 years experience in Marketing, Category or Brand Management or of equivalent level of Hierarchy
  • Experience of working with and managing multiple external agencies including advertising, digital and internal partners
  • Must have prior People Management or team management experience.
